About Me

I was born in 1971 in Istanbul.  For as long as I can remember, I’ve had two constant companions: reading and drawing. Yet somehow, I ended up studying economics at university — and to this day, I’m not quite sure why.

I spent about ten years working in banks, telecommunications, and travel companies. Later, I started a digital advertising agency and launched a travel advertising start-up. Both ventures failed. I lost another five years.

Since 2014, I’ve been running a yacht charter company with my best friend. It’s been fulfilling in many ways, but deep down, I always felt a kind of emptiness — as if something essential was missing.

Throughout this time, I never stopped reading. But I did stop drawing.

After turning 50, I picked up my pencils again. Now, I dedicate a significant part of my life to drawing — not as a hobby, but as a calling.

I once heard a beautiful line in a movie that perfectly captures what I had been feeling all these years:

“An unused talent becomes a burden on the soul.”

Now, I finally feel light — because I'm doing what I love
